About

Hi, I’m Matt Butler, a Fort Worth-based music producer and recording engineer, currently pursuing the NYU Tisch Business of Entertainment certificate. As Lead Producer and Recording Engineer at EMP Studios, I oversee daily studio operations, session direction, and mentor a growing team to help clients achieve their creative goals.

Beyond the studio, I redesigned EMP’s website with a custom code upgrade, integrated PayPal, improved SEO and UI/UX, and contribute to the studio vlog, The Weekly Mix, to share our process and signature sound. My strengths include music production, DAWs (Pro Tools, Logic, Ableton Live, Cakewalk/Sonar, Luna, GarageBand), mic placement, room acoustics, analog/digital signal flow, mixing, and leading instructor-led training.
