My name is Meher Menon, a freshly graduated Interior Design student. I am eager to start my professional career with a firm that has innovative and thoughtful design approaches. Specifically a firm that allows me to work out of Firenze or even relocate within Italy (can be discussed further). Interior Design has always been a dream of mine, and that might sound silly to some, but since a young age I have found a lot of interest within this field. I truly believe in transforming spaces, not just as an outlet for art, but also for the viewer/consumer to evoke certain emotions towards the space. As a designer, I am not only designing to impress a client, but also using this opportunity to bring forward the importance of bringing forth emotions through space and art. In December of 2025 I graduated with a 2-year Advanced Diploma in Interior Design. I achieved this degree from the Florence Institute of Design International located in Firenze, Italy. During my time in this Institute, I was able to sharpen some skills and even gain a few others. My key skills would include AutoCad 2D, SketchUp and Vray for SketchUp, Rhinoceros, Adobe Creative Cloud (specifically Photoshop, InDesign, Lightroom, Illustrator). As for my non-technical skills, I am strong in concept development, visualisation, concept planning, team work, time management, and communication/presentation. I am not only motivated, but am enthusiastic about starting my career path in this field and beginning my journey as an Interior designer. I might not have work experience from a company, but my institute treated every project as a client project. This allowed me to understand the importance of team development and time management. It is also how I learnt to be as detail-oriented as I am today. I have as much experience as any other working designer, and what makes me different is that I am eager to learn something new everyday while also perfecting my current skills. I am an asset to any design firm and this can also be seen through my portfolio, and as well as my teacher recommendation letter.
