To me, creative work is not just a career path. It's an ideal that I aspire to achieve for myself. My ikigai. There's an euphoric pride that comes when I get to work on something tangible with hands-on work, before being able to showcase it to peers and consumers alike. I recognise that compared to the accomplished developers before me, I still have a lot to learn before I can make something that leaves as much impact as they have on the Gaming industry. Thus, I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty and spend hours burning midnight oil to figure out how to implement my ideas in my own way. I'm excited to learn that anything that could be useful to me in my career, and I'm not afraid of constantly learning as I navigate my current industry. Outside of work, I love to live life with a carefree heart; I prefer to engage in my hobbies like creative writing online, sitting back to enjoy a gaming session, or try to attempt cooking one of my favourite foods in the kitchen (often with questionable results)

Work Experience

Intern at Terresquall
September 1, 2023 - January 1, 2024
I was asked to do various tasks independently and with minimal supervision from my manager: These included writing articles for the company blog, learning how to program shaders, creating simple textures for game assets, building scenes to showcase said assets and editing video prototypes of the assets being used.

Education

Diploma in Media, Arts, and Design (Digital Game Design and Development Specialisation) at Singapore Polytechnic
May 1, 2024 - April 1, 2021
I was taught a variety of skills during my time at Singapore Polytechnic. I have experience in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop. I was also taught Photography as part of my core curriculum, as well as Songwriting and Scriptwriting as part of my Electives. As part of my specialisation in Game Design, I learnt the fundamentals of Game Design, Game Theory, and Mathematics for Games. The main engine I was taught to use is Unity, so thus I am well-versed in using Unity and programming in C#. I also have exposure to developing games in Unreal Engine with its Blueprint system
