My name is Mihail Popov and I was born on July 31, 1981 in Sofia, Bulgaria. As a 3D animator and artist, I specialize in creating stunning visual effects and animations for various projects, ranging from TV commercials to feature films. I have worked in this industry for over a decade, honing my skills in character rigging, animation, and post-production.
In my free time, I enjoy experimenting with new animation techniques and sharing my knowledge with aspiring animators. I believe in the power of storytelling through animation and am passionate about bringing ideas to life through art and technology.

Managing the execution of the entire trailer. Responsible for day-to-day review of the work of the 3D teams, in modeling and texturing. Created the pre-viz-animation of the project. Worked, supervised and guided the work on lighting, water simulations, particle and destruction simulations. Guided and pushed the character rigging to perform what is needed for the animation, blend shapes and custom character deformations. Helped and worked side by side with 3D animators to ensure the animation work on the trailer ran smoothly. Worked closely with the marketing and game design teams to present the game in the best and most effective way possible.
Made the entire short from concept to final vision. Responsible for modeling, hair, materials, lighting, character and car rigging, particle system. Super focused on character animation, cloth animation as well as hair animation. Also responsible for sound design, compositing and editing.
The shorts were made within two months and managed to win first place in the competition for which it was made.
Responsible for the entire teaser from the concept to the final look. Boulder is an upcoming feature film by the Bulgarian animation studio Zographic Films. Hired to made an entire teaser to present the future film at various forums and festivals. Did new concepts for the movie characters, all the models, rigging, animations, particles and simulations. Also the full hi-ress rendering, the final post-production, color grading and the music design.
