Created a full walkthrough animation for Elysian in Blender, and this one required thinking about narrative through movement.
The shot opens wide. You see the entire form against the forest. The geometry is immediate. Then you get closer, close enough to read the details. The materials, the proportions, the way light hits the surfaces. These details matter because they're what convince people this is real.
Then the camera moves through the gates. One continuous shot. No cuts, no transitions. This is important because it forces you to think about pacing, about what reveals itself and when. The viewer experiences the space the way someone actually would, walking through it. The interiors need to feel intentional. The lighting, the material choices, the relationship between rooms, they all build a story.
The geometry of the structure itself does most of the work. The triangular form is bold but not arbitrary. Inside, it makes sense. The proportions work. The way light moves through the windows creates those moments where the render pulls you in because it feels inevitable, not just rendered.
This is what separates a pretty image from a compelling walkthrough. It's about understanding how people experience space, how to guide their eye through it, and how to make them believe every decision was intentional.
If you're designing architecture or real estate, this is what your clients need to see. Not just the building, but the experience of being inside it.
