Hi, I’m Naomi Katz Cohen, a New York–based music educator and performer with over two decades of experience building vibrant K–12 general music programs, guiding choirs, and creating engaging community music experiences. I blend Kodály and Orff methods to help students explore rhythm, melody, and song in joyful, age-appropriate ways, from early childhood through elementary grades. I collaborate with teachers and families to produce original operas and ceremonies, and I’ve led adult community choirs as well as Jewish music projects. I’m passionate about inclusive, reflective music education that honors diverse backgrounds and languages — Hebrew and English included — and I love helping students discover their voice and love of making music. I am an experienced singer and I am still active as a singer. I am hired as a ringer for amateur choirs and church choirs and I have been hired as a soloist for these groups as well.
