The Villa

For this project, I was tasked to create a visualization of a villa based on a 2D CAD drawing from Alingsås Huspaket. Rather than placing it in a typical sunny setting that we often see in archviz, I wanted to explore a quieter, more atmospheric mood, something that feels calm and grounded. The overcast sky, soft light, and misty birch trees in the background were all intentional choices to give the image a serene feel.
I used a deep, earthy green for the wooden façade to help the building blend into the landscape rather than contrast with it. The vertical texture of the wood adds depth without being too bold, and the warm wood window frames bring in contrast to make the design feel warm and welcoming.
To achieve the look, I used scripting and FloorGenerator for the façade, Forest Pack to scatter the vegetation, and Photoshop for final tweaks and atmosphere. The mood was inspired by Pavilion House by Norm Architects.
