I'm an Award-winning director, producer, and writer with 26+ years creating narrative content across film, television, theater, audio drama, and podcasting. I've been a DGA member since 2007. Starting in the 1990s as a special effects makeup artist, I transitioned to directing and earned regional awards before joining the five-person team behind "The Blair Witch Project" (1999). Serving as Production Designer, I also wrote the mythology and created the iconic "stickman" symbol central to the film and its transmedia campaign. I returned to write three related projects: "Curse of the Blair Witch" for SyFy, "The Burkittsville 7" for Showtime, and "Shadow of the Blair Witch" for SyFy. The latter two I also directed. I've directed theatrical features for Warner Brothers ("Alien Raiders," 2009) and award-winning indie productions ("Future Boyfriend," official selection, Tribeca Film Festival 2016), and numerous corporate projects which are mostly documentary in form. In theater, I've directed works by Brecht, Shakespeare, and Kurt Vonnegut's "The Sirens of Titan" (adapted by Stuart Gordon), and served as co-artistic director for Sacred Fools Theater Company in Hollywood. Most recently, I've focused on audio storytelling—directing "Catchers" for Audible and developing additional projects for the platform. I also co-host "The Cinematography Podcast" (500+ episodes exploring visual storytelling), and I am also passionate about teaching film and helping artists find their authentic voice.
