FILM | TV | SOCIAL | BRANDING As passionate and meticulous creative, I always live by the credo of active listening, strategic planning and efficient prioritization. Whether it's a film, corporate video or integrated branding campaign, a creative environment intrinsically performs better through a leader who implements a collaborative-forward strategy. Knowing one’s voice is heard instills a sense of pride and purpose in the overall team, allowing it to function as a unified front rather than several polarizing factions. This means stakeholders are never overlooked, reducing the chance of alienating one group while simultaneously keeping the train on the tracks and meeting tight deadlines. There’s always a path to yes, and I believe this mantra bolstered by a systematic approach utilizing the aforementioned tools are what have made me such viable, creative leader in the past. **Day rate** $285 per day **Key project experience** _2017_ - Created short film for Brand X _2016_ - Integrated Branding Adverts for US ARMY, 20th CENTURY FOX _2015_ - Adverts for Brands DELL, ESTEE LAUDER _2014_ - Integrated Branding Adverts for NAKED FILTER Filtration Products _2013_ - Created short film for LAW & ORDER/History Channel producer entitled "El Cocodrilo" _2012_ - Produced unscripted TV show pilot "Sky Riders" for MSNBC _2011_ - Integrated Branding Adverts for KA-BAR Knives **Qualifications and education** _ College Emmy Award Winning Journalist _ UNIVERSITY OF CHAPEL HILL - CUM LAUDE 2008 _ UCLA CREATIVE WRITING PROGRAM _ Founder of UNC Chapter of the Millennium Village non-profit project (Raised $655,000 to help villages in Kenya, Africa)

Ron Shapiro caught the radio bug when he was just 7 years old. After his father helped him build a radio station in his bedroom, Ron honed his skills playing radio at home, as well as on his high school radio station, and college station. All that practice helped him land his first “real” radio job with Casey Kasem’s “American Top 40”. From there, Shapiro worked his way up, becoming a Director at ABC/Watermark, the owners of “American Top 40”. Eventually Ron ended up at KIIS-FM Los Angeles as the Production Director, winning numerous awards. Shapiro later became the Program Director of Southern California’s first Trimulcast radio station, Lite 92.7. During the first two survey periods, the ratings for Lite 92.7 doubled each time. From 1998-2014 Ron Shapiro was the Assistant Program Director and Creative Services Director of KHHT / Hot 92.3 in Los Angeles, as well as the Urban Classic Imaging Coordinator for iHeart Media's National Programming Platforms. In addition to his “full time” job, Ron produced radio programs for The Fox Broadcasting Company, Dick Clark’s “United Stations Radio Networks” and is also co-owner of the internationally syndicated radio programs “Top Ten Now And Then” and “The Stories Of Classic Rock”. Other international projects included a monthly program for Inter-FM in Tokyo, Japan, and he was the International Branding Consultant of Costa Rica’s Beatz 106. Ron definitely realizes how fortunate he is to incorporate his hobby into a life long passion. #ronshapiro #toptennowandthen #top10nowandthen #oldschool500 #standuprock #format3000

Genre Savvy is a weekly podcast about art and story. We don't like stories, we l love them. And if we don't love them, we'll make 'em great!

I love it when a story comes together, whether it's on the page or in the edit bay. I pride myself on taking any responsibility to further my career and I swim best when I'm thrown into the deep end. I am a professional media creator who has dived into as many parts of the media industry as I could in order to learn as much as possible. I began my career in high school, building an internal announcements program for IMMI from the ground up and filming and editing daily news programs for the company. Most recently, I have worked as an Assistant Editor for a China travel show (still to be released). Over the course of several months, I organized multiple shoots worth of travel footage; established efficient workflows for multiple editors and editing programs (at one point working on both Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere Pro at the same time); and assisted in creating GRFX for the show using Adobe After Effects. Before that, I was an Assistant Editor for the feature film Ms. White Light, due to premiere in March at SXSW. For that, I organized the footage for the entire production in Adobe Premiere Pro. I have written and directed my own short films on shoestring budgets. Thanks to myself and the teams I have worked in, my films have been selected for screenings from the IU Crimson Film Festival to the Cannes Film Festival in France. In all of my experiences, I took on as many roles of responsibility as I could in order to not only be a better asset to my employers and teammates, but also to learn my chosen craft. My goal is to create stories and make media that audiences can enjoy, with the future goal of producing my own professional creative works. I will do whatever is necessary to reach that goal and take any task given to me with enthusiasm. kevincarpenter.squarespace.com
