Commissioned by a property owner who wanted a map of their farm illustrated in the style of a classic Tolkien-inspired fantasy map. Using real-world geographic reference data, I created a hand-drawn cartographic illustration that balances an evocative historical aesthetic with accurate spatial relationships and GPS-based positioning.
The project required interpreting landscape features, landmarks, roads, and property boundaries, then transforming them into a cohesive visual narrative while maintaining geographic accuracy. The result demonstrates my ability to create maps that are both visually engaging and functional, combining cartographic illustration, information design, and attention to detail.
