Nicola Bertasi (born 1983) is an Italian photographer and visual artist based between Milan and Paris. With a background in humanities and a Master’s degree in Modern History, his work explores the relationship between memory, history, and contemporary landscapes. Working at the intersection of documentary photography and artistic research, Bertasi often combines archival materials with new images to question how conflicts and collective traumas persist over time. His projects have been exhibited internationally, including in major institutions such as the PAC in Milan, and published in critically acclaimed photobooks, most notably Like Rain Falling from the Sky, a long-term investigation into the legacy of the Vietnam War.
