I’m Nicola Tirelli, an Italian pianist, composer and arranger with a classical foundation and a passion for jazz. After studying classical music, I earned a degree in piano and jazz composition at the J. Tomadini Conservatory in Udine, under the guidance of maestri Glauco Venier and Alfonso Deidda. I subsequently pursued advanced studies in composition and arranging, organ improvisation in Paris, and jazz piano, while building a career as a performer, keyboardist, and contributor to a wide range of musical projects. I have collaborated with artists across genres and regions, performed at major festivals and cultural events, and contributed to music, soundtracks, and theatre for Italian and international audiences. In January 2026 I was selected for the Screen Scoring course at Accademia Chigiana in Siena (CineCittà, Rome) with noted Italian and American faculty. Among my notable achievements is winning the Gold Prize at the Erik Satie International Competition, and I continually explore new musical languages and formats, including activities as a producer and arranger for orchestras and ensembles.
