I am a graphic designer and illustrator living in Jakobstad in Finland. I have a Bachelor Degree in Graphic Design from Novia University of Applied Sciences from 2022. I have 7 years of work experience as a graphic designer and illustrator at a growth marketing agency, and I have also run my own small business in the field since 2019. Earlier in my career, I worked in other creative industries, including fashion and culture. I am passionate about working with color, shape, layout, typography and visual expression, in both static and motion formats. I enjoy the challenge of creating uniform and functional material that is also expressive and eye-catching. Personally I like bold and innovative shapes and color combinations, as well as simple and clear design, preferably with a touch of humor. As a graphic designer, I have worked with digital visual material for social media, advertising, and websites, as well as with printed materials, such as illustrations and ads for magazines, brochures, product catalogs, trade show materials and window and vehicle graphics. I have also worked on designing logos and other graphic elements, infographics, as well as planning design concepts and photo shoots. I have basic knowledge of web design, photo/video editing and animation. I am used to working with most Adobe Creative Cloud programs, as well as Procreate, Canva, WordPress, Asana, Basecamp, Google Workspace and Microsoft 365. I have experience working in many different teams and with many types of clients and tasks. The versatility and the opportunity to constantly learn new things at work are, in my view, some of the major advantages of working as a graphic designer and illustrator. I am accustomed to working independently and remotely, as I have collaborated with colleagues and clients in other locations and countries. I love that way of working. I am meticulous, good at organizing and planning my work, and keeping deadlines. I also enjoy working with text and wording and I am attentive to detail in that area as well. Privately, I enjoy exercising and cooking healthy food, and I am interested in everything from fashion, interior design, art, film, and music to environmental issues and psychology.
