    paper Wedding cards

    An introduction to the wedding

I’ve got to be more careful choosing color palettes next time!
Initially, the card gave Halloween, and we tweaked it quite a bit to get to what it is now.

We started with an idea that would highlight the decor and mood board for the Muhutham event. The colors we initially envisioned were a classic bright Indian palette. While iterating on the card, we also tried a top view that depicts the rituals in a mandapam. With a little more work on the drawing and color options, we finalized a pastel theme.

We started this card with a composition that would be a top view, and would have a kolam. The elements depict the activities that occur in the pellioothuru function. We experimented a little with backgrounds and realised that a rich maroon not only brings out a contrast, but also depicts a homely redoxide flooring.

We started the haldi card with the idea that the decor would consist of hanging flowers and tassels in shades of yellow and pink, baskets of flowers, and, of course, bright colors in the palette!
