    uniE621 Women’s Equality Party Hustings
Campaign aim: To engage members to ask key questions to the Mayoral candidates. Project overview: I volunteered as the Stockport Branch Leader when I joined and became one of the founding members of this new political party, who were ‘doing politics differently’. I designed the event concept of ‘THE GM 51’ to make sure that as the majority gender (females are 51% of the population) in Greater Manchester and the problems they face as females would be front and centre in the minds of candidates in the first-ever Greater Manchester Mayoral Election Hustings. At this hustings, WE Members had the opportunity to ask hard-hitting questions of the main Mayoral candidates, about the inequalities women and girls face in Greater Manchester. logo graphicdesigner illustrator designer branding

Campaign aim: To increase membership through in-person engagement. Project overview: I volunteered as the Stockport Branch Leader when I joined and became one of the founding members of this new political party, who were ‘doing politics differently’. I designed a number of campaigns to encourage new members to join us and to increase our branch volunteers. This digital campaign used the new ‘more colourful’ WE branding to engage local people and encourage them to meet with us face-to-face in social settings to learn more about this partisan political party. Where we would give out leaflets and badges. graphicdesigner branding
uniE621 Heaton Norris Friends of the Parks
This project was the coming together of two local parks into one organisation. The committee members were getting on in years and wanted some ‘new blood’. So I volunteered to be the treasurer for one of the parks they serve, as I believe we’ve all got to do our bit to give back to the wider community (if we can). It quickly became apparent that these friends of the parks group needed a new brand designed from scratch if they wanted more engage with the local community and grow their social media as well as their volunteer base. So I decided to do what was required on a pro-bono basis. I started by designing a strong brand ID which had bold colours and not the usual ‘greens with trees’ used in most park logos. There is a sculpture of a frog in one of the parks and I wanted to incorporate this frog in the logo as well as the dandelion clock that symbolises the importance of re-wilding in urban areas to increase biodiversity and decrease climate change. I also manage their Facebook page a the membership has doubled in less than a year. graphicdesigner logo illustrator designer branding
    uniE621 End Taser Torture
This client contacted me after I put out a request on Facebook to help anyone who is campaigning for justice on behalf of a loved one who was killed by UK police brutality following the shocking death of George Floyd in the USA. I was contacted by Lisa who tragically lost her brother ‘Mark Cole’, when he was tasered to death by the police following a mental health episode. The aim of this campaign was to raise awareness of Mark Cole’s and Adrian McDonald’s untimely deaths after being tasered. And for people to engage with the campaign through targeted branding that packaged a punch. Accompanied by straight-to-the-point facts and statistics, to drive people to sign an online petition for a change in the law in regards to the use of Tasers by UK Police. Lisa had campaigned for years with the Mother of ‘Adrian McDonald’ another father who had been killed by being tasered by the police, Lisa said “It’s sad how the only way you can get the awareness of your campaign is to get your dead brother’s face on a well-designed poster”. graphicdesigner logo illustrator webdesigner designer
