I was commissioned by Sheffield Hallam University to design a large-scale mural for their campus gyms, celebrating the energy and spirit of Team Hallam.
The piece brings together a diverse mix of sports and activities that the university has to offer - from boxing and lacrosse to climbing, badminton, and weightlifting. One of the main aims of this mural was to capture the inclusivity and vibrancy of the university’s sporting community.
I was commissioned by ALT BLK ERA to create the full visual identity for their album Rave Immortal— into a comic book that transforms their music into a raw, emotional visual journey.
This project was based around themes of illness, disability, loneliness, friendship, resilience, and defiance— turning this into a visual narrative that runs parallel to the music.
Accessibility was also really important throughout this project. I followed Dyslexie Font guidelines to make the comic dyslexia-friendly, using inclusive layouts and type settings so it could be read and enjoyed by everyone.
This mural design brief aims to showcase the diversity and inclusivity within Sheffield Hallam’s LGBTQ+ community. Additionally, it is crucial to highlight the history of Pride and how it originated as a riot and continues to embody this spirit, as The LGBTQ+ community still faces numerous challenges today.
