I am looking to collaborate with artists through selling my beats, doing joint songs and/or ghostwriting songs/hooks for others. I am a lifelong music lover. I have been writing songs since I was in elementary school (18+ years), producing for about 14 years and engineering for about 5 years. I have a diverse taste in music and that shows in the music I make. My main genres are hip-hop/rap and R&B but I also make music with influences/feels from jazz, soul, lofi, chill-hop, dance, pop and EDM. While I do not think my music necessarily sounds like any of these people, my biggest influences are Lil Wayne, Mike WillMadeIt, Metro Boomin, Mac Miller, The Weeknd, Drake & J Cole to name a few. Music has always been a hobby I've been very passionate about and through that passion I have been able to self-teach myself 90% of the skills I've picked up over the years. While I do not have any major project experience, I have released 5 albums/mixtapes over the last 4 years with more on the way (under Derrell and Project FLIGHT 803 available on all DSPs, hit link at the top) and multiple singles that I served as a lead artist, producer & executive producer and mixing & mastering engineer as well as whatever other duties needed to be done for those projects. I have also sold beats to local artists from my community. Links to my past projects and my BeatStars page are available through the link at the top. As I said above, I make music that I don't think sounds like a lot of what's out nowadays. You can decide whether that's for the better or worse yourself, but anyone who is interested in creating unique art and not trying to ride someone else's wave and sound should hit me up.
