Esroh Shift (Paweł Konikiewicz) – Pianist, Composer, Producer, and Sound Engineer Esroh Shift, real name Paweł Konikiewicz, is a pianist, composer, music producer, and sound engineer who explores the intersection of classical tradition and modern sonic experimentation. A graduate of the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław, he specialises in instrumental performance, bringing a refined classical piano technique into contemporary, avant-garde, and electronic contexts. His piano compositions blend elements of impressionism, minimalism, and jazz, often incorporating improvisation and unconventional harmonic progressions. Through his work, he seeks to expand the expressive potential of the piano by integrating acoustic resonance with electronic textures, prepared piano techniques, and ambient soundscapes. His performances create immersive atmospheres, where delicate classical phrasing coexists with bold harmonic explorations and experimental production techniques. As a producer, composer, and recording engineer, he is an educator at Wave on Wave Studio and the Academy of Music Production in Wrocław. Additionally, he teaches at the School of Modern Music, where he developed an original curriculum for sound engineering and recording techniques. His expertise contributed to the co-development of the national vocational education program for the Sound Reinforcement Technician profession (code 352122) under the Partnership for Vocational Education initiative.
