I’m Paul Read, a seasoned professional in video production, film and photography with Pilot Films. I lead creative direction and production, working with clients like Qantas Airways, NZ Tourism, AIA Insurance, Warner Bros Discovery, Pacific Aerospace, Trimax, Sandersons Group, Naked Locals Soup, Salvation Army, Robotics Plus, and more. Based in Tauranga, I combine storytelling with technical excellence to deliver compelling visuals across film, video, and photography.

Before founding Pilot Films, I held executive leadership roles across New Zealand, Australia, Hong Kong and New York, including Chief Executive, General Manager and Marketing Director. My background spans professional sport, recruitment, software development, and news media, giving me broad perspective on strategy, teams, and client-focused production. I’m passionate about creating powerful, on-brand content that resonates with audiences.
