    Planet W.E.S.M.O. — the stage name of drummer, percussionist, rapper, and beat maker Desmond Rucker — is a versatile, groove-driven musician with a global performance background and a deep passion for live music. Based in Pittsburgh, PA, Desmond blends formal training from the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) in the UK with years of real-world experience across jazz clubs, festival stages, recording studios, and international collaborations.
    Armed with a full drum kit, percussion instruments, and African drums, Desmond can adapt to any gig — from small acoustic sets to high-energy, full-band shows. With the ability to perform any set length and travel to any location, he’s a reliable, professional choice for cover, tribute, and original projects.
    Currently performing with Turtle Park, Gardens of Sound, and Kaden Thompson in Pittsburgh, Desmond also has an extensive list of past collaborations with both US and UK artists, including:
