My journey through education has never been a straight line. It has always been a blend of curiosity and a desire to grow and challenge my perspective with that of the world around me. What started as a small interest in computer architecture grew into a full academic path of discovery: first earning my bachelor's in computer science from Hobart and William Smith Colleges in New York, and now traveling across the pond and pursuing a master's at Nottingham Trent University. Where I’m exploring advanced software engineering, UX research, cybersecurity, mobile systems, and applied artificial intelligence. Each stage of my journey has pulled me deeper into the world of computer design and logic and challenged me to grow in unimaginable ways. Through my internships at Benepath Insurance, I discovered how much I enjoy working on real systems with real users in mind. During my time as a software development intern, I helped design and build a Google Cloud insurance agent aimed at reducing call center customer traffic flow and improving the online user experience. As a data analyst intern, I monitored customer behavioral data, collaborated closely with a small development team of programmers, and managed weekly presentations on changing factors in the company’s customer satisfaction. This experience taught me not only how to code but also how to communicate, plan, and adapt. Seeing an idea move from notebook to reality gave me a genuine appreciation for the impact that programming can have on my life and others around me. Working as a sports systems operator for four years while in undergrad gave me the experience of managing live operations and understanding the many details that go into creating a welcoming atmosphere. Damage to one light or speaker could be the difference in the environment set for the people in the audience; technology has become such a fixated part of our daily lives that we rely on it to be as flawless as possible. When something breaks in the middle of an event, you don’t have time to wait for perfect conditions; you solve the problem fast. Staying composed under pressure became a core part of my skill set and has become something that still shapes how I approach daily challenges. Coaching young athletes as a summer trainer taught me a very different set of skills: how to listen, how to mentor, how to lead, and how to break complex ideas into something approachable. These experiences blend seamlessly with my life as an NCAA Division I lacrosse player and now as a member of the Nottingham Trent Lacrosse team. Teamwork and discipline are deeply woven into how I operate, whether on the field or in the classroom. Across all of these experiences, I’ve realized that what motivates me the most is building solutions that matter, intuitive systems, and helping the people who use them. I’m now searching for opportunities where I can bring together my technical foundation, creativity, and my drive to learn.
