Raven Chau (b.1998, Hong Kong), a visual artist based in Toronto, ON. She received her BFA in Painting from the Savannah College of Art and Design in Atlanta, GA, USA.
Chau is a multimedia artist; she creates art with both digital and traditional media. Chau started her art journey with intense traditional fine art training of both still-life and figurative drawing and oil painting. Chau developed an expressive approach to art by incorporating her personal experiences and perspectives in life as an international student and immigrant in the United States and Canada. Her works have been showcased in group exhibitions in New York, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Atlanta, and Savannah. Beyond traditional art, through working with talented teams on 2D animated Netflix shows like Mulligan, Farzar on Netflix and The Prince on HBO and post production for Harold and Purple Crayon (2024), Chau contributed to projects as a background artist and lighting artist.
Chau’s current art practice explores painting, sculpture, drawing, illustration, and digital art. Throughout her artwork, she captures the beauty of nature, individual experiences, and belief in a brighter side to life.
