Hi, I'm Rex Miller, a visual storyteller from Queens, New York, who began as a photojournalist and evolved into a filmmaker and DP. Over the years I’ve shot and directed projects that have earned Peabody and Emmy recognitions, with films screening at Tribeca, Telluride, London Film Festival, and on HBO Max, PBS, CNN, and Amazon. My work spans documentary storytelling across cinema and television, and I’ve traveled widely—from the Mississippi Delta to Africa—documenting people, cultures, and moments that matter. Beyond the camera, I’ve written Delta Blues: Music and Life in Mississippi, and I identify as multiracial, with a heritage that informs my work. I’ve led multi-country shoots, produced and directed stories about Arthur Ashe, tennis, and social history; I continue to tell intimate, character-driven stories with a focus on resilience and humanity.
