As a self-employed musician, I perform as a solo singer-guitarist in various venues across the UK and cover all sorts of events including pub and club gigs, private functions, weddings and corporate events. I have even performed on a few small local festival stages including the Hale Barns Carnival, Adlington Carnival and the Gwyl Festival in Ynysybwl. Since the age of 11, I have been involved in various musical groups and projects including playing for Brass Bands and Orchestras as a student of Gwent Music Support Services, singing with local choirs starting with Torfaen Junior Choir whilst I was in Maendy Primary School, then Llantarnam School Choir later which later developed into Côr Aduniad after I finished Comprehensive School. Since then, I have become a member of the Cwmbran-based community choir Sŵn Y Gân, which is directed by Welsh Composer and Arranger, Geraint Davies. I am also the 1st Baritone player for Usk Brass Band, which is a 1st Section Competition Band that has taken part in the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain and various other championships and contests over the years. I have also been a part of various rock band groups throughout my teenage years and formed performance and songwriting groups as a part of my studies towards my BA (Hons) degree in Popular Music. As a result of all this experience, I have a plethora of transferable skills, both professional and interpersonal, and they provide me with a lot of insight into creative processes concerning music writing, performance and musical analysis. These skills can also transfer to other creative industries such as the Gaming and Film and TV industries.
