"The Last" is the third instrumental post-rock album by Alnea, and the most expansive and mature chapter in the project so far. Acting as both a culmination and an evolution, this record captures the artistic peak of a journey that began with emotional intimacy and grew into a fully realized sonic narrative.
I composed, produced, and performed all guitar parts, and oversaw the full mixing and artistic direction. The album was recorded entirely at Punto Rec Studio in Turin, one of Italy’s premier recording facilities — allowing the sonic depth and detail of each composition to fully emerge.
The central theme of The Last revolves around solitude, absence, and emotional resilience. It reflects on the feeling of being the one left behind, and the quiet, inner strength required to keep moving forward. Despite the melancholy, the album is imbued with hope and perseverance, carrying a message of enduring connection and emotional survival.
The record features collaborations with Camilla D’Onofrio (violin), Jenna Holdway (vocals), Gabby Vessoni (vocals), and Andrea De Carlo (piano), whose contributions added warmth and dimension to the sonic landscape.
Crafted in Logic Pro, and enriched with carefully layered arrangements and visual storytelling — including artwork created by myself — The Last stands as a powerful reflection of personal and artistic growth. music instrumental master soundtrack…"The Last" is the third instrumental post-rock album by Alnea, and the most expansive and mature chapter in the project so far.
