I am passionate BA Music finalist, with a variety of skills and experiences acquired from both my time as a student at the University of Hull, and from different pursuits outside of my university life. As a multi-instrumentalist with skills in composing, performing, recording and songwriting, I am keen to find a role that utilises these and I feel like composition for media would be the perfect way to do that. Education The University of Hull BA Music Modules Include: Music and Sound for Media, Creating Recorded Music, Collaborative Creative Project, Specialist Music Skills • Developed creative composition skills in response to particular briefs and accompanying visual media for film composition assignments. • Furthered music production and technology skills, using audio software (particularly Ableton Live) in modules relating to creating recorded music. • Progressed my critical understanding of music while studying music theory and analysis. • Individual instrumental tuition pushed my technical abilities on piano and guitar as well as improving my improvisational skills. • Gained experience by taking up leadership roles like being the Music Director of the University Big Band and the Funk and Soul band Relevant Experience Session musician for small music artists such as Choby and Amelia Quinn • Performing for artists and songwriters at live music events across Hull like Humber Street Sesh, The Polar Bear and Trinity Live • Working in a studio environment with these artists to help put together recorded versions of their original songs. Part of an acoustic duo called P&B • performing frequently at events such as the Freedom Festival • writing, recording, and releasing songs which have been played on BBC introducing.
