    paper 2 page comic spread
In the course I am currently completing, my first project involving illustrator was to create a 2 page comic. I purposefully left the ending open ended, so that I may continue the story once I have finished with the course. I used a great variety of techniques throughout the comic, going from drawing over my physical sketches in illustrator to using InDesign for the final arrangement. Admittedly, there are changes that I would still love to make, but I still love what I ended up with.
    uniE621 Culture 2025
Last year, for Ireland's Culture Night, I participated in another group exhibition organised by the Bailieborough Creative Hub. Our theme was Apophenia, which means perceiving connections between unrelated things. I love this sort of prompt that forces you to step out of the comfort zone of drawing things as they are. Thus, I ended up painting a cliff face with a literal face on it. The painting was made using gouache and I am very proud to have sold it that night.
    uniE621 Courageous Men of Cavan
This was a group exhibition led by Caroline Clarke and Sallyann Duffy. In total, 752 hearts like this were made within our community, each representing one of the Cavan soldiers that are known to have died in WW1. The one I am showing here is mine. Since it was made of fabric, I chose to embroider it, which was something I hadn't even started to learn properly at the time.
