I’m Ross Kernan, a final-year BA (Hons) Television Production student with a strong passion for audio post-production. My journey began in sound production and sound design, but I discovered my fulfilment in mixing, dubbing, and designing sounds for video projects. Through academic and personal projects I’ve developed skills in dialogue editing, media organisation and post-production workflows, and I’m eager to apply these strengths in a professional setting. In my recent work on short documentaries for the National Library of Scotland, I oversaw post-production workflows from ingest through to delivery, ensuring all media was organised, accessible, and aligned with project timelines. I regularly worked across multiple roles, managing media movement, maintaining structured file systems, and supporting the finishing process, including audio mixing, colouring and final exports. Additionally, my experience on student productions and independent projects has strengthened my ability to work with tools such as Adobe Premiere, Media Composer, Davinci Resolve and Pro Tools, and has led me to work on multiple projects that have been nominated in multiple categories at the RTS Student Awards 2026.
Through academic and personal projects I’ve built expertise in dialogue mixing, audio clean-up, and post-production workflows, and I’m motivated to contribute to high-quality audio and image delivery across documentary and television projects.
