A Portrait of an African-American Woman

This artwork was created while I was using the line-blocking technique. The woman from this artwork tends to symbolize the stigma that African-American women and girls still face for their natural hair, whereas her natural hair itself symbolizes their rebellion against the American and European beauty standards.
