PAGE Award-winning pro screenwriter and script analyst. I adapt IP and true stories, including history and biography, into scripts on assignment for film and TV producers. Recently adapted Louis Sachar's YA novel THE CARDTURNER into a feature script for Two Jacks Productions (Sachar also wrote the best-selling book that became a hit movie, HOLES). Winner of the PAGE Awards Bronze Prize for my spec feature script inspired by a true story, SAVING MARK TWAIN. My award-winning YA novel from Simon & Schuster based on a true story, BETSY AND THE EMPEROR, is published in 15 languages globally (film/TV rights and scripts available). My other novels for Simon & Schuster are THE CURSE OF THE ROMANOVS and BLACK POWDER (Screenplay based on it is one of the ISA TOP READS Spring 2026). Recent feature scripts of mine include an Austin Film Festival Semifinalist (based on Alex Rosenberg's WWII Adventure/LGBTQ Romance THE GIRL FROM KRAKOW, inspired by a true story), which has two producers attached, Mike Sammaciccia and Tony Greenberg. They're seeking financing partners and A-list attachments. I've just completed a TV pilot script, pitch deck, and series bible, BLACK RANGER, based on Timothy Ashby's Historical Adventure novel with a Black hero, RANGER. My TV pilot script based on a psychological thriller, INSTRUMENTS OF NIGHT (by Edgar Award-winning mystery novelist Thomas H. Cook)-- was written on assignment for Afterglow Pictures and Two Jacks Productions. My domestic thriller, RED LEAVES, written for Two Jacks Productions, is based on Thomas H. Cook's novel. I was previously a freelance reader for Warner Bros. Pictures, New Line Cinema, and the former William Morris Agency. I evaluate screenplays for writers, and also advise screenwriters at any stage of their story, career, or process, from concept to tips for marketing the finished script. I was one of the readers for Final Draft, Inc.'s Big Break Screenwriting Contest and am now a judge and script analyst for another major screenwriting competition. I have a BFA in Film from NYU, have taught screenwriting, and was a frequent guest speaker for screenwriting classes there. Member of NYWIFT and Independent Writers' Caucus.
