paper Black Swan, its desire | String Quartet

This piece is inspired by Nina, the protagonist of the film Black Swan.
Cast as the lead in a reimagined Swan Lake, Nina must portray both the innocent White Swan and
the seductive Black Swan. Under the pressure of a demanding director, a rival dancer, and her controlling mother,
Nina’s desire for perfection drives her to a breaking point.

The piece seeks to capture the moments when Nina’s inner desires begin to emerge, portraying her transformation
as her purity is overtaken by dark, consuming ambition. These desires manifest as auditory and visual hallucinations,
reflecting her psychological unraveling and culminating in her tragic downfall.
