My name is Serhii Makovetskyi, and I am a Unity Developer with a strong passion for game development and interactive experiences. I enjoy building engaging gameplay systems and turning ideas into polished, player-focused mechanics through clean, scalable code.
During my professional Unity experience, I worked as part of a development team where I mainly focused on gameplay systems and interactive AR features. Some of my other tasks included implementing an in-app purchase system, developing QR code scanner and statistics functionality, setting up animation controllers, creating game design and test case documents. During my commercial experience, I contributed to the launch of two mobile games.
Alongside my commercial experience, I’ve spent over five years developing personal Unity projects across different genres. These projects strengthened my problem-solving skills.
In addition to Unity, I have around one year of experience working with Unreal Engine, where I created multiplayer systems, animation workflows, and procedural generation. I developed enemy AI using behavior trees and blackboards, including multiple enemy types and a boss with adaptive combat behavior. This experience broadened my understanding of gameplay architecture and reinforced my interest in building dynamic, systemic game features.
Across all my work, I value clean development practices, collaboration, and iteration. I enjoy working closely with designers and artists, contributing ideas, debugging and refining gameplay, and building systems that feel responsive, flexible, and satisfying to use.
