Hi, I’m Shelby Parent, a motion designer and illustrator who loves turning ideas into joyful, visually engaging art. My creative drive comes from a desire to brighten people’s lives through storytelling and playful visuals. I enjoy joining artistic communities, conventions, and group activities like D&D, cosplay, and prop-making for costumes. I’m drawn to immersive games such as Genshin Impact and Fields of Mistria for their rich narratives and calming atmospheres. Through the MACA program, I’ve learned painted illustrations, figure drawing, motion graphics, character rigging, 2D animation, charcoal illustration, and screen printing. I’m pursuing a career in Character Animation or Illustration and would be excited to contribute to teams like Flavor, Yeah Haus, or Boxfort. I’d like to earn a comfortable salary (roughly $75,000–$100,000) while doing work that inspires others. My goal is to be a source of hope for young artists, especially those who face ADHD or other challenges, showing that creativity and perseverance can lead to meaningful results. If my journey helps someone feel less lost and more capable, I’ll consider that a success.
