Built a facial search engine as part of a $275K NSF SBIR Phase I grant project, enabling retrieval via natural language descriptions. Designed the full semantic retrieval stack including dataset creation, annotation pipeline, model training, and evaluation framework. Generated a 33-class synthetic dataset using GPT-4 and DALL·E, coordinated human annotation for validation. Fine-tuned CLIP (ViT) and benchmarked against datasets/models, achieving accuracy between 85–98.5% with less than 500 samples.
