Jesse Vargas is an internationally experienced Music Director, Composer, Arranger, Orchestrator, and Music Producer whose career spans theater, television, concerts, and themed entertainment. Theater credits include Broadway’s Glory Days (Music Supervisor, Arrangements & Orchestrations) and The Ritz (Orchestrations); Off-Broadway’s bare: A Pop Opera (Music Director & Vocal Arrangements), Rooms: A Rock Romance (Music Supervisor, Arrangements & Orchestrations), Shida (Music Director, Additional Arrangements), and Saved. He has served as Music Director for national tours of Xanadu and Barry Manilow’s Copacabana, and provided arrangements/orchestrations for numerous regional and developmental productions including A Little More Alive (Kansas City Rep), White Noise (Chicago), One Hit Wonder, The Santa Switch, Peep Show (Las Vegas), Asphalt Beach, Bright Lights, Big City, Hair in Concert (Grammy-nominated album), and Pippin (Dance Arrangements – 2006 Tour). Jesse has produced, arranged, and orchestrated albums for artists including Scott Alan, Kooman & Dimond, Daniel Reichard, Michael Longoria, and others. His piano arrangements are featured on Brian Justin Crum’s EP Diva. After 15 years in NYC, Jesse relocated to Los Angeles, where he became Music Supervisor for For The Record Live, known for immersive theatrical productions based on film soundtracks. His work there includes BAZ: Star Crossed Love (The Venetian, Las Vegas), The Brat Pack Live (Norwegian Cruise Lines, Break Room 86), Scorsese: American Crime Requiem (The Wallis Annenberg), and the critically acclaimed Love Actually Live!—a multimedia holiday concert experience that has become a Los Angeles tradition. Recent highlights include serving as arranger/orchestrator for Invincible: The Musical, featuring the catalog of Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo, with whom he collaborated directly.
