An envisioned adaptation of the Louise Sloan House in the Greater
Charlotte Area transforms the historic Queen Anne-style landmark into a
tapas, wine, and cocktail bar. Developed for the client’s submission to the
city’s RFP, the winning concept balances preservation with contemporary
function, reinterpreting the home’s intimate rooms as distinct experiential
spaces. A material and color palette drawn from period-appropriate
references is reinterpreted to complement the building’s historic character
with layered, enduring richness.
