I follow briefs until they bore me, then see what happens when I stop listening. Not everything I make is useful, but it’s always intentional, even when I can’t explain why. I’m more interested in tension than clarity, in the space where things almost make sense. I question systems that are already working and ignore best practices when they feel too comfortable. Progress, to me, often looks like stepping sideways instead of moving forward. I start projects with confidence and finish them with doubt. I collect references I never use, make decisions too late, and change my mind right after committing to one. Some ideas survive the process. Others don’t—and I’ve learned not to interfere. If there’s a point, it usually reveals itself after the damage is done. I don’t design to reassure. I design to provoke a reaction, even if that reaction is confusion.
