He started his music career at the very early stages involved in Gospel Group both as a singer and Keyboard player. at the stage he also sung in Iscathamiya group, Afro - Jazz Group, Hip Hop and found his passion in Kwaito music. Skiroz is a music graduate from University of KwaZulu Natal in which he focused on African Music and Dance genre. He was also a member of Ikusasa Lethu African music and dance ensemble and traveled with the group both nationally and Internationally. International countries he had travelled include North America (Peru), India (Kerala), Kenya (Nairobi) and Austria (Graz). Skiroz is not just a musician, dancer, writer or producer but also a music researcher. In his BA Honours level he majored in Applied Ethnomusicology and was strongly involved in community Arts organisations implementing projects that will promote these communities arts especial indigenous arts. His research focus themes include African Musics, Applied Ethnomusicology, Sociology of Music, Music and Politics, Intangible Heritage and Music Business.
