An electroacoustic work born from the collaboration between Sofja and performer Nora Agostini, custom-built for the avant-garde performance “It’s Me”. The track’s structure and arrangement are directly mapped to Noah’s choreography, serving as the sonic engine for a ritual of metamorphosis centered around a pre-transition plaster face cast. Developed for contemporary and queer visual arts spaces, the piece explores the visceral shift from external constraints to total non-binary freedom.
Set in a cinematic, dark, chiaroscuro space, the composition draws inspiration from the timbral deconstruction of Arca and SOPHIE, the industrial weight of Vessel, and the epic progressions of Susumu Hirasawa. Produced in Logic Pro at 120 BPM in A minor across Experimental Electronic, Cinematic, Industrial, and Dark Ambient genres, the instrumental narrative relies on evolving timbres shaped using Alchemy, Vital, Sampler, dynamic modulations, granular FX (GRN Lite), and Ali3n Sample Rate Degrater for a lo-fi digital texture. Spatiality and final mastering are crafted via ChromaVerb, Raum, Stereo Spread, FabFilter Pro-Q 4, and SPAN Plus, optimized to -13.7 LUFS Integrated for sync licensing in short films, trailers, video art installations, contemporary dance, and queer performance manifestos.
