I have been working on an agile team of 30+ developers for the US Air Force at Hill Air Force Base since 2018. I do peer reviews for other developers, and they do peer reviews for me. We work in an Agile environment, and I have been on many scrum teams of 4-8 people each. We work with GIT for version control, and also with GitLab for pipelines and team collaboration. My expertise is developing on Linux systems, but I also have developed on Windows and Mac. At Hill AFB, we developed an automated testing system for our F16 SIM which emulates user button presses and thus ensures that our program’s features don't regress with new features added in new releases. The jet SIM we work on is used for several reasons, one of which is to provide a familiarization tool for new pilots to learn the ins and outs of the jet without actually flying. This saves the Air Force millions of dollars in jet fuel. We also use our SIM as a rapid prototyping tool for new features which experienced pilots want to try out. We develop our SIM to be modular and data driven so new features can be added and taken away with ease. I studied Computer Science with a Spanish minor at Weber State University. I also have studied Music Therapy and Japanese at Utah State University. I've also worked as a CNA caregiver, an ESL teacher, and a pianist.
