Usability audit and recommendations for a web based internal tool

The University of Washington wanted to explore how digital platforms could enable free sharing of research data across departments, and break data siloes. The university wanted data operability, the ability to give researchers ownership over their data and an internally accessible data platform.

I conducted a UX audit, discovered missed opportunities within the UI, mapped user flows, and recommended design optimizations - keeping in mind current and long term priorities. The suggestions helped the tem resolve major usability and accessibility blockers, and define a roadmap for the future of the platform.
