Glenn Takakjian has been involved in the Film and Television business for over 30 years. After college he started his production company, TAK Productions, as a base to produce all types of media. Unlike many professionals in the business who take on a single title of Director or Writer or Producer, Glenn has always considered himself a complete “filmmaker”. His skill set and experience have included just about every aspect of communications media. Glenn has written, produced and directed a number of commercials, PSAs and infomercial spots over the years. As Editor and Producer he has worked for major studios such as Sony, Warner Brothers, New Line Cinema, the Playboy Channel, the History Channel and Disney. His work has garnered him a number of awards including two Telly Awards and an Aurora Award. He spent many years working in corporate video and advertising media for clients such as Black Velvet, Caesars Palace, Olivia Newton John, Hilton, Clint Black, and Television Games Network amongst others. Through the years, Glenn has amassed a diverse array of technical skills that complement his creative talents. He is an experienced AVID and Adobe Premiere editor. He is skilled in Motion Graphics Design and 3D Computer animation. His work can be seen on a number of shows on the History and Discovery Channel, most notably as one of the lead animators on History Channel’s hit show, Modern Marvels. Glenn was also Writer/Director/Co-Producer of the feature film Metamorphosis:The Alien Factor which won the Best Special Effects Award at the Houston Worldfest Film Festival and also has found cult status in the world of Science Fiction Fandom. He has directed a number of short films and continues to write screenplays.
