While I’m best known as the creator of the SHARKNADO franchise, I’ve written and/or directed over a dozen produced feature films and MOWs, most of which are grounded thrillers, action, and sci-fi, and not the campy tone of my most famous work.
I was born and raised in New York City, graduated from film school at NYU, and specialize in fast-paced, yet character-driven and intelligent science fiction and action stories. I’ve written features, games, verticals, and series. I’m comfortable in both leading roles as writer/director, but also as part of a collaborative team and in the writer’s room.
Outside of the film industry, I’m a sailor, car and motorcycle guy, dog lover, and award-winning chili cook.
