Industry Experience

Software & Internet
    AzmFlow - Chrome Extension & Node.js Backend

Developed an end-to-end Chrome extension with
a content blocking system enforced by the
server. Unlike any other blocker, all states are
verified against a PostgreSQL database backend
rendering the extension immune to browser
reboots, uninstallation, or tampering at the
    client side.

Goals: Develop a Chrome extension that could not
be defeated by just clearing the browser’s data
    or reinstalling the extension.

Challenges: Manifest V3 of the Chrome
platform stripped many of the capabilities
offered by its predecessor Manifest V2. Had
    to design around declarativeNetRequest API
limitations and implement server side enforcement
rather than trusting local extension states.

Results: Released on Chrome Webstore without
any post release downtime. Tech stack: Node.js,
    PostgreSQL, JavaScript, Chrome Extensions API
(Manifest V3), Vercel CI/CD with deployments on
    every git push.

AzmFlow - Digital Wellness Android App

Developed the AzmFlow Digital Wellness Android
app completely by myself from the ground up.
Features include: blocking addictive content (Reels,
Shorts, TikTok), focus lock, accountability partners,
    Islamic mode, and uninstall protection.

Objectives: Create an Android application ready for
production that is able to resist OS-level restrictions
and be approved at Google Play Store.

Challenges: Rejected twice on Google Play for policy
    violations concerning background services and
    permissions disclosure. Debugged Android background
service lifecycle problems, modified permissions logic
flow and resubmitted; passed successfully on the third
    try, after 16 version changes.

Results: Now live at Google Play in 176 countries.
App developed using Flutter/Dart, Android SDK, and
background services. Fully supported after launch.
