Project Overview

Le Rendez-Vous is a Mauritian retailer dedicated exclusively to showcasing products created by local artisans and makers. To celebrate its 10th anniversary, the company decided it was time to modernise its visual identity while preserving the authenticity that had made it a recognised destination for locally crafted products.

I was commissioned to lead the rebranding process and create an identity that reflected both the brand’s heritage and its future ambitions.

The Challenge

The original logo had been created internally when the business first launched and consisted primarily of a simple red typographic treatment. While it had become familiar to customers over the years, it no longer reflected the quality, personality, and cultural value of the brand.

The challenge was to refresh the identity without losing the recognition and emotional connection that customers had built with the business over the previous decade.

Design Approach

My approach focused on preserving the warmth and accessibility of the original brand while introducing stronger visual elements inspired by Mauritius’ rich creative culture. The new identity was designed to celebrate local craftsmanship and reinforce the brand’s role as a showcase for Mauritian talent.

Typography, colour, and graphic elements were carefully selected to create a more distinctive and professional identity while maintaining the familiar spirit of the original brand.
