Hi, I’m Pedro, a 2D artist and illustrator based in Setúbal, Portugal. I graduated with a degree in Game Arts in 2022, and since then I’ve been working on concept art and illustration for indie projects, freelance clients, and my own game ideas. My focus has always been on characters and stylized storytelling, but I enjoy exploring environments, props, UI, and other areas when the project calls for it. What excites me most as an artist is the space where style and narrative meet. I love the way design choices can shape how players connect to a world — whether through color, composition, or subtle world details. I’m drawn to stylized art for its flexibility in exaggerating ideas and communicating themes that realism can’t quite capture. Outside of professional work, I’ve been developing a series of personal pieces with silly aliens in Mediterranean environments based on my home, which have inspired the development of my own indie game (a work in progress). Sharing these online has been fun not only because people respond to the imagery, but because it reminds me how speculative art can spark curiosity and conversation. That’s the energy I try to carry into all my projects — work that feels both a little otherworldly and very human at the same time. Professionally, I’ve been working with Critical Crafting as a concept artist and illustrator. While I haven’t yet had the chance to contribute to a released game title, I’ve learned to adapt to different styles, respond to feedback quickly, and refine existing artwork to a higher standard. I also keep a steady practice of personal projects, which helps me grow technically while continuing to chase ideas I’m passionate about.
