Senior Video Editor & Story Producer — Documentary, YouTube Long-Form & True Crime I’m a senior video editor and story producer with more than two decades of experience shaping long-form documentaries, YouTube features, and brand-led storytelling. My background is rooted in traditional craft — narrative structure, pacing, character, rhythm, and editorial judgment honed over 20+ years. I’ve built and edited two true-crime channels (Original Sin Crime and Cold Blood Crimes) and produced police-reviewed documentary work with the Metropolitan Police. Before that, I led global media at Kings Education, producing 300+ films a year and driving a 400–500% uplift in engagement. Alongside this, I embrace modern tools that support the craft, not replace it. I use AI selectively — for tasks that genuinely speed up workflows or improve production value — such as polished voice generation, light generative visual support (e.g., Veo3), cleanup, or filling unavoidable gaps. These tools sit on top of a foundation built from real-world experience in documentary and long-form storytelling. I also work with brands to analyse their entire marketing and content presence across social media, video output, and messaging. I provide clear, actionable strategy to sharpen their story, grow engagement, and drive measurable results. My specialisms: • Documentary editing (specialising in true-crime and investigative work) • YouTube long-form retention & pacing • Brand and corporate storytelling • Traditional editing craft with selective, intelligent use of AI tools • Narrative structure, scripting & story development • Colour, audio cleanup, graphics & finishing • Marketing audit & content strategy • High-volume, reliable, professional delivery Whether it’s a 12-minute feature, a 60-minute documentary, or a brand content overhaul, I bring long-earned craft, modern efficiency, and a strategic mindset to every project.

uniE608 Mental Health in the Workplace: Promo
This short promotional film was created for People Horizons, an organization focused on mental health in the workplace. The project demonstrates my expertise in creating high-quality, long-form content for sensitive subjects. Key skills shown include: Translating complex, abstract topics (like mental health frameworks) into a clear, accessible, and supportive narrative. Expert Editing and B-roll Integration to maintain a professional, high-credibility tone suitable for non-profit and educational platforms. Maintaining High Viewer Engagement over the full video runtime using a mix of dynamic visuals and voice-over pacing. This video serves as a direct example of the production value and strategic narrative skill I will bring to your films on herbal and natural medicine.
uniE608 🎥 Project Showcase: The Dynamic Product Accelerator (30-Second Reveal)
Role: Creative Director, Videographer/Visual Creator, Editor, and Post-Production Lead Goal: To transform a routine product unboxing into a dynamic, hyper-stylized 30-second social video, maximizing visual appeal and feature clarity to drive immediate sales conversions. Creative Execution & Technical Mastery Social-Native Pacing: Executed a dynamic, hyper-stylized unboxing with fast-paced cuts, specifically tailored to the native look and feel of TikTok and Instagram Reels. The entire runtime is optimized for high retention and instant impact.
uniE608 Video Promo for Major Audiobooks Series
The ‘Mydworth Murders’ project centers around a highly successful audiobook crime series created by the writing duo Neil and Matt. Set in 1940s rural England, the series features Lord and Lady Mydworth, two protagonists with rich histories of espionage, mystery-solving, and military backgrounds, alongside a cast of compelling characters. With over a million downloads, the audiobooks have garnered a dedicated following, presenting an opportunity to expand their audience through innovative digital platforms. The challenge was to translate the series’ unique atmosphere and charm to new platforms, specifically Instagram. Following initial meetings, I developed a video concept to promote the entire series. However, the first draft, while thematically accurate, missed the mark in terms of tone and voice. It leaned towards a macabre, serial killer vibe, rather than the desired ‘cosy crime’ atmosphere reminiscent of Agatha Christie. This led to a crucial revision, resulting in a second draft that perfectly captured the essence of the ‘Mydworth Murders,’ aligning with the audiobook audience’s expectations.
uniE608 Project Showcase: The Green River Killer Trailer
Role: Lead Editor, Colourist, and Post-Production Supervisor Goal: To convert long-form true crime documentary footage into a 1-minute, high-impact horror trailer that serves as a proof-of-concept for expert tension building and genre aesthetics. Core Creative & Technical Focus: Pacing and Tension Mastery: Edited existing investigative footage into a relentless, sub-60-second runtime, using strategic jump cuts and unsettling slow-motion segments to control and escalate the psychological dread. This demonstrates my ability to build narrative suspense crucial for horror. VFX & Compositing: Applied advanced post-production techniques, including the use of VEO 3 and the Adobe Suite, to integrate subtle visual effects, digital grain, and light compositing. This elevates the footage to a premium, cinematic filmic quality. Genre-Specific Aesthetic: Executed a custom, heavily stylized colour grade to strip the footage of its documentary realism, immersing it in a distinct horror palette—deep shadows, high contrast, and specific colour washes—proving mastery over aesthetic and atmosphere. SFX and Sound Integration: Precisely edited to an intense, non-diegetic score and integrated atmospheric sound effects (SFX) (e.g., breathing, distortion, ambient dread) to reinforce the psychological horror narrative and maximize visceral impact. Result: A high-impact portfolio piece demonstrating the ability to generate visceral, genre-specific emotional responses through technical precision and masterful editorial control.

paper Socials Reels for Global Speaker

I was brought on as the Creative Strategist and Content Producer for a prominent Global Peace Ambassador and Humanitarian Organization. The core challenge was to effectively translate the client’s profound, long-form messages and humanitarian initiatives—which focus on peace, self-knowledge, and global events—into compelling, short-form digital assets that maximize audience reach and engagement. I managed the project from the initial brief to final delivery, translating the core concept into a high-success social media campaign.

My role was end-to-end, serving as the full-stack content solution. I developed the strategic concepts and variations for a series of social videos specifically designed to promote events, encourage interest, and drive follow-up engagement. The production involved complete execution, including scriptwriting, creating custom animated graphics, integrating the brand’s look, and managing the inclusion of talent and voice-over narration.

The campaign delivered resulted in very strong engagement and was deemed a high success, effectively demonstrating my ability to handle complex briefs and deliver strategically accurate, simplified results at a high volume. This project established a clear, repeatable model for the client to consistently transform thematic content into accessible, shareable social media assets for their global outreach initiatives.

paper Artist social media video promo

“For this Instagram-focused video showcasing artist Chris’s process, the brief went beyond a traditional studio visit. The aim was to create something inherently shareable and memorable, tapping into Instagram’s visual language. We moved away from lengthy explanations, instead focusing on the captivating energy of Chris’s technique. Think dynamic close-ups of brushstrokes, the mesmerizing flow of paint, and the rhythmic creation of texture, all set to an engaging soundtrack. The goal wasn’t just to document Chris at work, but to craft a visually arresting and concise piece that would capture attention in a fast-scrolling feed, encouraging viewers to pause, appreciate the artistry, and ultimately share the experience.”

paper Meet the Team Video Profiles for UK colleges

The “Meet the Team” video project was more than just a video series; it was an initiative designed to bridge the gap between Kings Education’s professional image and the individuals who drive its success. My objective was to humanize the brand, showcasing the diverse personalities behind the scenes. To achieve this, I developed a concept that juxtaposed each subject’s professional persona with their personal passions and hobbies.

The project involved a four-person media team who, under my guidance, conducted interviews and captured b-roll footage. We explored a wide range of unexpected activities, from sea swimming to DJ’ing, revealing hidden talents and interests. The resulting video series offered a unique and engaging perspective on the Kings Education team, fostering a deeper connection with their audience. The project was warmly received both internally, boosting morale and camaraderie, and externally among B2B clients, who appreciated the authentic and personable approach.

paper Theatre Company Social Media Videos

The ‘Bite-Size Plays’ theatre company, renowned for their critically acclaimed short plays across the UK’s vibrant theatre scene, including celebrated appearances at the Edinburgh and Brighton Fringe Festivals, sought to expand their reach and engage new audiences through social media. This dedicated troupe of performers and creatives, driven by passion and artistic integrity, needed a strategy to translate their stage success into digital engagement.

Following insightful creative meetings with the company’s founder, I developed a focused, short-run social media video strategy designed to capture the essence of their unique theatrical style. The campaign centered around two key video components: a compelling 1-minute teaser promo, designed to pique interest and showcase the dynamism of their performances, and a second variant featuring engaging, vox-pop style talking head interviews.

These interviews provided an intimate glimpse into the creative minds behind ‘Bite-Size Plays,’ featuring candid conversations with their creative director and various performers. By sharing their personal insights and artistic philosophies, we aimed to humanize the company and build a deeper connection with potential audience members.

The strategic distribution of these videos across social media platforms resulted in a significant increase in online visibility and engagement. The campaign not only amplified the company’s existing reputation but also introduced ‘Bite-Size Plays’ to a wider, digitally savvy audience, effectively bridging the gap between their theatrical prowess and the digital realm. The success of this project demonstrated the power of targeted video content in expanding the reach and impact of live performance art.
