During my time at Millersville University, I gained a strong foundation in design principles and learned how to apply them effectively through academic projects. But my growth didn’t stop in the classroom. While pursuing my degree, I actively developed my personal brand and took on freelance opportunities to deepen my experience in the real world of design. As a recent graduate, I recognize that some may see early-career creatives as inexperienced—but I’ve made it a point to challenge that perception. From a young age, I immersed myself in freelance work, collaborating with a diverse range of clients and learning how to deliver creative solutions that meet their unique goals. What started as simple logo reworks quickly evolved into full-scale branding and creative direction. I’ve worked with local artists on album covers, helped define visual identities that resonate with their audiences, and built a solid reputation for delivering standout designs. My freelance journey has included everything from project rollout packages—like cover art, advertisements, motion graphics, and merchandising—to branding and fashion design. One of my proudest accomplishments is launching my own clothing brand, WHOS ETHNL?—a grunge/underground hip-hop-inspired graphic line tailored for adolescents and young adults. From designing to personally screen printing, I handled every step of the creative process to bring the vision to life. Above all, my experience has taught me how to collaborate effectively with both clients and creative teams, and how to craft designs that help brands truly stand out.
