I made the music for this short documentary, all about football, fashion, and Walthamstow. I was briefed to create short, whimsical pieces, as well as creating the final outro piece.
For this campaign I was asked to create something that was electronic and pulsating, having been referenced music by Wesley Joseph.
I took this original idea and then at 0:28 I used the line “this city is our soul” to create a tonal shift and flip the music into a soulful, boom-bap inspired instrumental that brought the video a more happy and hopeful feel:
I was asked to create both the intro and outro music for this documentary by Xaymaca Awongyubo and Chelsea F.C.
For the intro, I was asked to create a hip-hop instrumental that built slowly to an impactful end for the title page. To achieve this, I sampled Nadine Brown’s “Your Love”.
For the outro, I was asked to create a euphoric finish with vibrant horns and bold drums.
I was asked to make the music for this campaign. Before having seen the visual content, I was asked to create something with a grimey feel, that reflected the vibrant UK Hip-Hop sound and street culture.
To achieve this I chopped a string sample (from “Is It Love” by Kenny Lynch) over the top of a booming 808 and vibrant, energetic drums. When this is combined with FX like sweeping pages and camera rolls to match the video, it creates a strong and dynamic piece to accompany the launch film:
