Xiaotong Yi is a current student of the School of Visual Arts and a New York-based illustrator and concept artist who loves to use vibrant colors in her works. She started as a traditional artist using watercolor and oils and transitioned to digital artist. She intended to explore how color affected the mood of works in different media. She illustrated figure illustrations, posters, environmental illustrations, and character designs. Besides the professional works above, she also enjoys a lot doing silly and cute doodles of characters and animals for fun. During her time studying at the School of Visual Arts, she won the SVA Merit-Based Scholarship and the Wiener Scholarship. In high school, she published work on Celebrating Art and won the Scholastic Art Awards Golden Key for Illustration twice.
